Hello, I’m Julie

I’m thrilled you have found your way here and that you are seeking intentional birth support.  My doula practice is grounded in whole body mindfulness and guided by heart-lead movement as I support my clients throughout their passage to welcome Baby earthside.

My passion for physiological birth sparked during my own pregnancy and my transformative birth experience ignited a calling to birth work, where I am committed to empowering families of their autonomy and advocating for birther-centered care. Each birth story is unique and you deserve the experience and relationship with birth that you desire.

I believe in the strength and resilience of the human body, the ancestral wisdom it holds, the righteousness of evidence-based research, and the safe reassurance of medical technology. While I honor all birth across all environments, I am preferential to the midwifery model of care in an out-of-hospital setting.

I am transitioning to birth work from a 15-year career in advertising, where the psychology of marketing enables me to understand the needs of my clients, build trust, collaborate effectively, and navigate the ever-evolving unknown with ease. 

I am a transplant to South Minneapolis where I live with my family and our senior Labrador.
